Like a dance hall at La Kilbe in Colmar

The restaurant La Kilbe invites you to spend a pleasant moment around traditional cuisine prepared with local products.

We could sum up the philosophy of the traditional restaurant La Kilbe with these few words: “Relaxed atmosphere and cuisine prepared with love”.

In Alsace, there is a traditional family festival called the kilbe where costumes, music and traditional dances were in order. Families met at the fair-kermesse where products from the neighboring village or hamlet were exhibited by artisans. In the evening, the festivities ended with a ball. It is this festive and good-natured spirit that the restaurant wants to transmit. The objective is to highlight the spirit of sharing while perpetuating Alsatian folklore. It is thanks to the charm of the guinguette that this traditional Colmar restaurant, run by a passionate couple, is just as suitable for a meal with colleagues as for a family dinner.

The fenced terrace, planted with trees and decorated with garlands, features a guinguette atmosphere where many musical events are played during the summer.

A traditional restaurant and honest cuisine

True to its values, the traditional Colmar restaurant favors the best products. Local products, organic and respectful of the environment as possible. The menu is limited and supplemented by suggestions cooked with seasonal products. Most of the products are purchased from local producers.

Not to be missed: the selection of French matured meat with sauce and homemade fries. But also the delicious homemade burgers, including the Elsass Burger which seduced our editorial staff. A signature burger that mixes Charolais beef from Alsace, organic Barkass from Lapoutroie and Alsace raw ham from Jauss. All accompanied by homemade fries: a regional treat!

Celebrate Alsace and good food

Devoted to Alsace, Frank and Bénédicte Migliaccio pay homage to the celebration, to the land, to the kilbes of yesteryear. Beef ribs and Charolais T-bones from Alsace, veal tenderloins with sage-flavoured meat juice, the beautiful cuts of meat are shared at La Kilbe in a friendly and warm atmosphere. Between the desire for “delicate street food” and the pleasure of simplicity, the chef selects the best local products and small producers, to satisfy appetites with generosity. Alsace is rich in know-how and La Kilbe knows how to highlight these classic dishes so dear to the region, such as foie gras or kougelhopf.
