A delicate culinary blossoming

La Rose Rouge was created last November by Salomé and her husband, chef Matthias Lingelser. One, specialized in wine, tea and coffee; the other, trained in refined cuisine and chef at Château d’Isenbourg for 10 years. Both dreamed of opening an establishment in their own image: cosy, warm and relaxed. La Rose Rouge is an invitation to indulge in quality dishes, while maintaining a good price/quality ratio – right down to the great wines, which remain attractive.

At lunchtime, the weekly menu of the day gives way to a concise menu of 3 starters /4 main courses /3 desserts to choose from, revised each month according to the seasons and the chef’s inspirations.

On arriving in Sainte-Croix-en-Plaine, the couple met Pauline Artisan Fleuriste, who created a made-to-measure decor for the hall and exterior.

Among the fine wines of Alsace, the Sainte Joie – Maison Meyer winegrowing estate in Saint Hippolyte deserves a special mention. For the rest of the wine list, Salomé and Matthias call on the Théâtre du Vin to find them some fine vintages.
