Fine Dining Restaurant in Strasbourg

The restaurant 1741 is located in the heart of the historic center of Strasbourg. Its name pays tribute to its glorious neighbor, the Rohan Palace, whose construction was completed in 1741. The restaurant itself opened in 2012. It is a discreet place on the banks of the Ill, where epicureans from here and elsewhere come to experience an authentic and elegant culinary experience.

In the dining room since the establishment’s opening, Michael Wagner has become, year after year, the soul of 1741. As restaurant manager and sommelier, he is passionate about both his love for gastronomy and this inspiring place. Chef Jérémy Page joined him in 2021, bringing his passion for exceptional products. He shares with his team his knowledge, culture, and spirit that combines both boldness and respect for the tradition of French gastronomy.

The establishment has been awarded one Michelin star since 2014, 3 toques and a score of 15/20 in the Gault & Millau guide since 2021. In a decade, it has proven to possess all the qualities of a great establishment and has become a reference in the Alsatian gastronomic landscape.

Jérémy Page was born in England and grew up in the Périgord region. He spent most of his career with the Robuchon group, in Paris but also across the Channel: in recent years, he served as executive chef at L’Atelier Joël Robuchon in London.

Since 2021, he has been at the helm of the kitchen at 1741, offering bold cuisine that skillfully combines flavors and textures.

At 36 years old, the new chef, who describes himself as ‘passionate about sincere and seasonal cuisine’, was chosen for ‘his experience and vision’.
