Sisters Amélie and Cécile Buecher are the seventh generation of a line of winegrowers. Both studied vines and wine, and traveled the world to discover the different angles of the profession, always keeping an open mind. With their experience, they introduced biodynamics to the family farm, already converted to organic farming by their father in the late 1990s. Since 2009, the farm’s 14 hectares have been DEMETER-certified.
Philosophy
Biodynamics is truly the workhorse of Vignoble des 2 Lunes. The estate works with respect for people and plants that coexist, ensuring that the health of workers, consumers and ecosystems is preserved. The Buecher sisters take each harvest as a birth to produce unique cuvées with characters both fine and expressive.
Terroirs
The farm begins above Wettolsheim and stretches as far as the entrance to Walbach, in the Munster valley. The terroirs here are varied: limestone, marl, granite, clay, giving the wine distinctive characteristics depending on the soil.
