The Ribeauvillé winery, located in the heart of Alsace in France, is a landmark for wine lovers and viticulture enthusiasts. Founded in 1895, it is one of France’s oldest winegrowing cooperatives, symbolizing not only Alsace’s winegrowing tradition, but also the spirit of cooperation and solidarity among the region’s winegrowers.

Ribeauvillé, a picturesque town nestled at the foot of the Vosges mountains, benefits from an exceptional terroir. The diversity of soils and microclimates favors the cultivation of different grape varieties, including Riesling, Gewurztraminer, Pinot Gris and Muscat. These emblematic Alsace grape varieties produce white wines renowned for their finesse, aromatic complexity and ageing potential.
The Ribeauvillé winery has taken advantage of these exceptional natural conditions to produce top-quality wines. It boasts some 265 hectares of vineyards, some of which are classified as Grand Cru, a testament to the excellence of its terroir. The cooperative’s winegrower-members respect sustainable viticultural practices, with a view to preserving the environment and local biodiversity.
The Ribeauvillé winery produces a wide range of wines, from varietal to terroir wines, including Crémants d’Alsace. Among our most emblematic wines are the Grands Crus de Ribeauvillé, made from the finest terroirs and perfectly reflecting the typicality of Alsace grape varieties.
The Riesling Grand Cru Osterberg, for example, is a wine of great elegance, characterized by its white fruit aromas and minerality. The Gewurztraminer Grand Cru Gloeckelberg, meanwhile, seduces with its spicy, floral notes, as well as its rich, round mouthfeel. These wines regularly win awards in international competitions, attesting to their exceptional quality.
