Dopff & Irion

Recognized as a wine-growing town since the Middle Ages, Riquewihr is a town conducive to the production of wines in Alsace. The geological richness of the Alsatian vineyard is so well represented. The singularity of its climate, sunshine and rainfall shape a remarkable oenology.

Domaine Dopff & Irion is a major asset of viticulture in Alsace, it is aimed at both an amateur public and the most enlightened wine enthusiasts. This estate was born in 1945, from the marriage of two emblematic families of Alsatian viticulture, whose traces can be found as early as the sixteenth century.

It favours modern viticulture and acts in favour of people and terroirs, reducing its environmental impact on a daily basis. In parallel with a more eco-responsible approach, the house meticulously controls each stage of wine production to guarantee the high quality of its products recognized throughout the world.

Over the generations, the family has preserved its wine heritage and today intends to introduce epicureans from all over the world to all the specificities of the Alsatian vineyard through the three great Appellations d’Origine Contrôlée of the estate: Alsace, Alsace Grand Cru and Crémant d’Alsace.
