A Chablis interlude
La Vaugermaine is a microbrewery producing traditional beers (blond, white, amber, triple, red fruit beer, etc.) and beers with grape must.
His beer of choice, the soul of the brewery, is made from grapes harvested in the Chablis appellation vineyards, the famous white wine of northern Burgundy, using 100% Chardonnay grapes.
Wort beers develop the organoleptic characteristics of both worlds, giving each beer a “varietal” and “terroir” dimension that makes it unique and singular.
They also have a certain capacity for ageing, with flavour evolutions comparable to those of wine.
As such, they bear the vintage of the year in which the wort used in their production was harvested.
Odile, formerly a cellar master, and Karine come from a catering background.
Beers with grape must: Chardonnay PDO Chablis and Pinot Noir PDO Irancy
Traditional beers: Blonde, white, red fruit white, amber, Blonde with fresh basil, Triple
Softs: lemonade and Cola de l’Yonne
