The Vogtsbauernhof Museum, a Journey Through Time in the Heart of the Black Forest
Located in Gutach, in the heart of the Black Forest, the Vogtsbauernhof Museum is a fascinating open-air eco-museum that immerses visitors in rural life of the past. This authentic site preserves and showcases traditional architecture, craftsmanship, and daily life of the region’s inhabitants from the 17th to the 19th century.
Visitors can explore several historic farms, each furnished with period furniture, as well as mills, barns, and artisanal workshops. Through demonstrations and interactive exhibitions, one discovers how Black Forest peasants lived, with their agricultural traditions, crafts, and customs passed down from generation to generation.
