A family history

The Au Cheval Blanc restaurant is located in a small village in the Sundgau region of southern Alsace, 30 km from Mulhouse, Belfort, Basel and at the foot of the Swiss Jura. We can accommodate 110 diners in our 4 dining rooms and 45 diners on the covered terrace.

The restaurant was founded in 1980 by the parents of the current chef, Eric Ispa. From an early age, Eric was immersed in the culinary arts, seeing his father at the stove, which instilled in him a taste for good food and the desire to make it his profession. After gaining experience in various establishments, Eric joined the Cheval Blanc team in 2010 with his partner Claire. His professional experiences have led him to develop his own distinctive cuisine, while retaining the traditional, generous spirit of his father.
