An unforgettable encounter with Barbary macaques
Located in Kintzheim, in the heart of a preserved forest, the Monkey Mountain invites visitors of all ages to a unique experience: an immersion among Barbary macaques in complete freedom. In this vast 24-hectare space, over 200 monkeys roam without enclosures, offering visitors a rare opportunity to observe their behavior authentically.
Along the walk, it’s fascinating to see them interact with each other, care for their young, or leap from tree to tree. The guides on site share anecdotes and information about these primates, while raising awareness among visitors about respecting the animals and their environment.

The Monkey Mountain is not just a fun visit. The park plays an essential role in the protection and reintroduction of Barbary macaques, a species threatened in its natural habitat. Thanks to its efforts, several hundred monkeys have already been released in the mountains of North Africa.
In addition to observing these primates up close, visitors learn about the importance of their preservation through educational panels and interactive displays.
