An ode to emotional cuisine

Les Plaisirs Gourmands, a gastronomic treasure trove, nestles in a warm and cosy setting in Schiltigheim. Here, Chef Guillaume Scheer and his wife Charlotte orchestrate an unforgettable culinary experience, where every dish tells a story, every flavor awakens the senses. Driven by an early passion for cooking, Chef Guillaume Scheer has shaped his own culinary vision over the years. Trained in the best institutions, he has developed a personal style, tinged with inspiration and authenticity. At the heart of its approach is a privileged relationship with local producers, who supply exceptional ingredients, guaranteeing freshness and quality in every bite. This close collaboration with Alsace’s terroir is also reflected in the wine list, which highlights the region’s finest vineyards, while also paying tribute to Burgundy’s wine treasures. Les Plaisirs Gourmands is also the story of Guillaume Scheer’s return to his roots. After honing his skills in prestigious establishments across France, his love for his native region brought him back to Strasbourg, where he quickly won over the taste buds of even the most demanding gourmets. His stint at 1741*, crowned with a Michelin star, was the prelude to an even bolder adventure: the opening of his own restaurant.

The Chef excels in the art of subtle combinations, brilliantly blending flavors and textures to awaken the senses of his guests. His meticulous work on sauces, enhanced by notes of citrus and fresh herbs, lends each creation incomparable depth and originality. This culinary virtuosity has been rewarded many times over with the highest distinctions in the world of gastronomy. Back in 2017, Chef Scheer was honored with the title of “Jeune Talent” by the Gault et Millau guide, followed in 2019 by the prestigious title of “Grand de Demain National”. In 2021, Les Plaisirs Gourmands reached its apotheosis with the award of a Michelin star, establishing it as an essential address on the French gastronomic scene.
