The history of CHEMINEES HERVE GEHIN began on January 1, 1981. This is the heartwarming story of a passion for wood energy.
Hervé Géhin set up his company at the age of 21. The small craftsman designs, manufactures and installs customized fireplaces. He works in a workshop in Cornimont in the Hautes Vosges. Since those early years, Hervé Géhin and his team have been following the evolution of different systems, always in the same direction, that of the wood-burning fireplace and stove.
This passion was reinforced in 1993 when he fell in love at first sight with a product for which he immediately sensed a great future… the Finnish TULIKIVI stove and its extraordinary concept, which quickly became the benchmark for accumulation stoves.
Today, the company is headquartered in Remiremont, in a building located beside the dual carriageway on the Metz-Mulhouse axis. The site comprises a 300m² showroom, offices and a 1,900m² workshop and storage area.
We also have a showroom in Colmar and another in Jouy-aux-Arches (Metz). As we look back on the evolution of this small company, we are delighted to see our 18 employees working in good spirits to bring the natural warmth of renewable energy into our customers’ homes.
The CIAO M TOP wood-fired oven has a neat, timeless design; high-quality stainless steel treated to withstand high temperatures. With the CIAO wood-fired oven, you can bake 2 pizzas in an instant (90 seconds) or 2 kilos of homemade bread using a minimum of wood. The stainless steel vault, which enables high temperatures to be reached quickly, retains the heat inside for a long time.
Easy to handle, the oven door is simply inserted into the two slots on the underside of the oven mouth. More or less obturated, it allows easy adjustment of the furnace sorting to control the fire. Its wooden handle makes it easy to grip the oven door without risk of burns.
The pyrometer continuously indicates the temperature of the combustion chamber and gives you the go-ahead to put your recipes in the oven. You can keep an eye on the cooking process through the glass door.
