Brasserie Roue Libre, located in Strasbourg, embodies the spirit of innovation and conviviality in the world of microbreweries. Founded by Stéphane Bouffier and David Schaffhauser, the brewery debuted in 2020 after three years of preparation. The two founders, with backgrounds in amateur brewing and experience gained in other Alsatian breweries, launched this project with the ambition of creating a warm and accessible space, where the quality and originality of the beers take pride of place.
Roue Libre offers a wide range of craft beers, with recipes that constantly evolve according to the brewers’ desires. The brewery produces around a dozen new recipes every year, offering its customers continuous diversity and freshness.
Visitors can enjoy a large terrace, a games area with darts, board games and even video games.
Roue Libre’s brewpub is designed to offer an immersive experience. Customers can sit close to the brewing tanks and watch the fermentation process. Interaction with the brewers is encouraged, allowing visitors to ask questions and learn more about the art of beer-making.
