Former second-in-command at Maison Lameloise in Chagny, Michelin-starred Japanese chef Tomofumi Uchimura and his wife welcome you to their restaurant Origine for a bucolic journey through gastronomy in the heart of the capital of the Dukes of Burgundy. Creativity, Boldness, Flavors, and Quality Products are the keywords at Origine.

The chef impresses with his mastery of French cuisine – which he punctuates with discreet Japanese touches. This lover of Burgundy elegantly magnifies local products.
Depending on the chef’s inspirations, the menus transform to suit all palates. Tuna and kristal caviar, matured Charolais beef, or onion and gingerbread: it’s a memorable experience.

Climatisation

Originally from Japan, it was upon his arrival in France that Chef Tomofumi Uchimura gained his experience in French gastronomy alongside three-star Michelin chefs before settling in Dijon with his wife Seiko in 2020.

Origine is an ode to our adopted country, France. This land that we have chosen, which inspires us every day, and which has enriched us with formative experiences, particularly alongside the Greatest Chefs, including Emmanuel Renaut*** and Eric Pras***.

We have decided to pay tribute to it by offering local gastronomy that follows the rhythm of the seasons and showcases the vegetables, plants, flowers, and mushrooms of our magnificent terroir.

We have taken up residence in the heart of the Burgundian capital in 2020. The ideal place to invite you to discover a unique sensory experience that embraces nature, the plant world, and the sublime.

We imagine, live, and compose our cuisine as a sharing of beauty and goodness. Because the beauty of taste brings us together around ORIGINE: at this moment, at this table, we are where we are meant to be… by your side.
