A delicate culinary blossoming
La Rose Rouge is much more than just a restaurant; it’s the fruit of Salomé and Matthias Lingelser’s passion and dream. Salomé, an expert in wine, tea and coffee, and Matthias, a chef trained in fine cuisine, have combined their talents and aspirations to create an establishment in their image: cosy, warm and relaxed. After spending a decade as chef at the prestigious Château d’Isenbourg, Matthias decided to make his dream come true by opening La Rose Rouge last November in Sainte-Croix-en-Plaine.
As soon as you enter La Rose Rouge, you feel the unique atmosphere, where every detail has been carefully thought out to offer guests a memorable experience. The decor, custom-designed by Pauline Artisan Fleuriste, adds a touch of elegance and charm to the room and outside, creating the ideal setting for enjoying quality food in a convivial atmosphere.

The menu at La Rose Rouge reflects the passion and expertise of Chef Matthias. At lunchtime, guests can enjoy a menu of the day, created weekly to highlight seasonal produce. In the evening, the menu offers a concise selection of three starters, four main courses and three desserts, renewed each month according to the seasons and the chef’s inspirations. This approach ensures constant freshness and diversity, while offering customers a varied and stimulating culinary experience.
When it comes to wines, Salomé and Matthias pay particular attention to their selection. Among the treasures of Alsace, the Sainte Joie – Maison Meyer winery, located in Saint Hippolyte, occupies a special place on the wine list. In collaboration with the Théâtre du Vin, they also offer a carefully chosen selection of vintages from the finest vineyards, providing customers with an exceptional wine experience.
