The fruit of a family union
Domaine Stentz-Buecher was born of the union of two winegrowing families, represented by the marriage of Jean-Jacques and Simone Stentz, in the early 1970s. They built a building outside the village to farm their first hectares of vines on the Wettolsheim hillsides, and were later joined by their children. Stéphane brings his vision and skills in viticulture and oenology, while Céline brings her experience in industry and her people skills. Today’s 12-hectare estate has rapidly developed and renewed itself to produce top-quality wines.
80% of the estate’s vines grow on hillsides, including the 3 Grands Crus: Steingrubler, in Wettolsheim, characterized by its minerality, Pfersigberg and its particularly sunny slopes between Eguisheim and Wettolsheim, and Hengst, in Wintzenheim, whose reds have just been awarded Grand Cru status.
