Located in the heart of Colmar, opposite Place Rapp and its emblematic Carrousel, the Meistermann restaurant is an institution on Colmar’s gastronomic scene.
In a bourgeois, wooded setting, savor traditional cuisine featuring the great classics of Alsatian gastronomy. Escargots à l’Alsacienne are accompanied by Bibalaskas aux Pommes de Terre Sautées & Munster, Rognons de Veau émincés “Paul Meistermann” and Spätzelés, and traditional tartes flambées.
Concocted from fresh produce, mainly selected from local producers, our dishes are entirely homemade.
A place for living and sharing, the establishment was founded in 1880 by the Meistermann family.
In 1986, the restaurant was bought by Gino Di Foggia, who breathed new life into it while preserving the very identity of the place nicknamed “Le restaurant des Colmariens”.
The wine list offers a wide range of nectars from the best vineyards in Alsace, but also from other regions renowned for their grape varieties.
Inside, the room’s bourgeois decor is reminiscent of the traditional chic bistros of the 70s, while upstairs, the two large rooms can accommodate groups and banquets. When the fine weather returns, the lovely shaded terrace offers a breathtaking view over Place Rapp.
The ideal place for a business lunch, family meal or get-together with friends.
