Love and respect for tradition

Edgar Jauss and his wife, Hélène, moved to Sundhoffen in 1954 to take over the Boucherie Charcuterie Restaurant Schuller. Their energy and expertise quickly transformed this establishment into an exceptional place, where quality and customer care were the watchwords.

Alsatian specialities such as cochonnailles, bæckaofes and Hélène’s steaks have won over a diverse clientele, attracting visitors from all over the world. Meanwhile, Edgar criss-crossed the surrounding villages to deliver the delicacies prepared by his wife.

In the 70s, Jauss Traiteur was born, an innovative initiative at the time, broadening the scope of the company’s activities.

The Pâté en Croûte has been awarded a Gold Medal, making it a must-have for special occasions and impromptu gourmet breaks alike.

Today, a team of some forty employees works hard every day to satisfy customers, while maintaining the quality and conviviality that have made Jauss Traiteur a pillar of local life.

Jauss Traiteur now has three stores in Sundhoffen, Sainte-Croix-en-Plaine and Horbourg-Wihr. You can also find them at markets in Colmar, Biesheim and Widensolen.
