Vincent Didier, baker in Lipsheim since 2008, won the gold medal in the Grand Est regional competition. He will now represent the region at the national final for the best traditional French baguette, to be held on May 7 and 8, 2025, on the forecourt of Notre-Dame-de-Paris.
Trained in Lingolsheim, the artisan rethought his working methods during the health crisis, favoring artisanal values by using natural sourdoughs and proposing some fifteen recipes for special breads without additives or preservatives, made from French organic flours.
His bakery, Maison Didier, located in the center of Lipsheim, is renowned for the quality of its products. The Fédération patronale de la boulangerie du Bas-Rhin has also rewarded his excellence in various competitions, awarding him a gold medal for his apple tart, and silver medals for his butter croissant and galette des rois.
In September 2024, at the Foire Européenne de Strasbourg, he won the gold medal for the best traditional French baguette. At the national final, a panel of Meilleurs Ouvriers de France judges will evaluate the baguettes of 20 competitors, made on site from ingredients and materials provided, highlighting the artisanal skills of each participant. Stay tuned!
