A book and wine event
The “Pages et Cépages” event, organized by the Autour du Livre association and the Tribu des Gourmets, returns for its fourth edition in 2025 on the Quai des Bateliers in Strasbourg. This unique event brings together booksellers and winemakers to jointly celebrate literature and Alsace wines.
In the previous edition, in 2024, the event was held on June 15 and 16, transforming the Quai des Bateliers into a veritable literary and culinary paradise. Visitors were able to discover some forty stands offering a variety of books and wines, as well as musical and gastronomic entertainment.
For the 2025 edition, scheduled for May 31 and June 1, the organizers are planning to reproduce the historic wine route. A barrel of wine would be loaded in Dambach-La-Ville by the local winegrowers’ association, transported to Sélestat, then taken by boat to Strasbourg. On arrival, jousters from the Joutes Nautiques de Strasbourg would receive the barrel and drive it to the Quai des Bateliers, adding a historic and festive dimension to the event.
Didier Marchal, president of the Autour du Livre association, emphasizes that the integration of winemakers aims to reach a different audience and enrich the visitor experience. Pages et Cépages” offers a unique opportunity to savor exceptional vintages while exploring a variety of literary works, all in a friendly, festive atmosphere in the heart of Strasbourg.
