On April 2, 2025, Lingolsheim-based grazing food specialist Alexandre Jager took second place in the final of the Championnat de France de la Planche Apéritive at the Salon Snack Show in Paris.

Organized by the Italian charcuterie house Rovagnati, this competition showcases the art of creating appetizer boards that combine aesthetics and delicacy.

The five selected finalists competed in three events.

  1. The classic board: composed exclusively of charcuterie.

  2. The Italian-themed board: a tribute to Italian traditions.

  3. The regional freestyle board: showcasing the specialities of the candidate’s region.

The jury, made up of Meilleurs Ouvriers de France (Best Craftsmen in France), the President of the Paris Charcutiers Association, journalists, culinary influencers and the winner of the previous edition, assessed the creations according to their visual and taste quality.

Alexandre Jager relied on his originality, creativity and know-how to win over the jury.

The Snack Show, which took place on April 2 and 3, 2025 in Pavilion 7.2 at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, is a major event dedicated to fast-food and on-the-go professionals.

In addition to the Championnat de France de la Planche Apéritive, the show also hosts other culinary competitions, such as the Championnat de France du Donut and the Challenge Végétal, highlighting current trends in fast food.
