The priority is to adapt the work to each plot, each situation, in order to get the best out of each one. There is no one way of working the vineyard, but almost as many as there are plots. Added to this are the 6 grape varieties, which do not have the same agronomic requirements, and it's easy to see why great flexibility is so important in relation to each plot. The estate covers 18.5 ha and 8 communes: Katzenthal, Ammerschwihr, Ingersheim, Riquewihr, Mittelwihr and Kientzheim, Beblenheim, Sigolsheim. Alsace's geological mosaic and climatic variety are well represented, with very different soils, reliefs and exposures.
