In the Michelin Guide 2022, 627 starred restaurants are represented, including 41 new starred restaurants. This year, La Table du Gourmet in Riquewihr was awarded a green star in the Michelin guide. The award recognizes institutions and leaders who lead by example in sustainability.
In addition, the guide continues to honor all food, hospitality and service professions with various special distinctions. Also new this year: the Chef Mentor Award, awarded to Thierry Marx, highlighted the importance of transmission.
The LALIQUE restaurant at Château Lafaurie-Peyraguey has been awarded a second star, once again rewarding the work and talent of Alsatian chef Jérôme Schilling and his teams.
In the heart of the Sauternes appellation vineyards, the chef continues his ascent after a rich career: Grand Chef of Tomorrow by Gault&Millau (2019), winner of the Henri Huck Trophy (2010), finalist in the MOF Competition 2015 and 1st in the Challenge du Président de la République (2017).
