Spring Beer 2023

On the day of Spring, the Syndicat Brasseurs d’Alsace gathered about fifteen brewers from Bas-Rhin and Haut-Rhin at the Maison de la Région in Mulhouse to officially launch the Spring beer of Alsace 2023

The launch of Spring Beer in Alsace is an important event for the local brewing industry. This allows the different actors to meet and present their new creations to the professionals of the sector, to the media and to the local elected officials. This tradition is also a great way to introduce local brewers to the general public and promote the diversity and excellence of their products.

The Alsatian brewing industry is particularly dynamic and brings together a wide variety of players, from agricultural producers to the tourism industry, including brewers, restaurant owners and food distributors. The Alsace Terre Brassicole Forum, which will be held at the end of the third quarter of 2023, will be an opportunity for these actors to work together on common themes and to promote the territory.

Alsace is the historical cradle of beer in France and the first producing region in volume. Spring beer, brewed with barley varieties sown in spring and harvested in summer, is an Alsatian specialty that is made according to the criteria defined by the Association des Brasseurs de France but also according to the taste and creativity of local brewers. The diversity of the beers proposed during the launch of the Spring beer shows this creativity and this spirit of conviviality and sharing which characterize the Alsatian brewers.

The union organizes several events throughout the year: the spring beer in March, the Christmas beer in November and the opening of the summer season with the Festival Au Gré des Bières.
