An admirable journey

Pierre Irion and Elodie Dreher met in Schiltigheim where they opened their own restaurant. The chef first passed through several prestigious establishments such as La Wantzenau or Arnsbourg. Until landing in Schiltigheim where by a stroke of fate, he stopped to eat at the “Imaginary” at the moment when the former owner wanted to sell the establishment.

Pierre then looking for a calmer situation jumps on the occasion with the support of his companion. The restaurant is rather modest which allows them to have a less sustained work pace than in their previous experiences and to have a simpler daily life while flourishing. After three months of renovation, the restaurant finally opens in May 2018. They completely transformed the place by calling on renowned interior designers who gave it a new modern, cozy and soothing identity.

2020 is a victorious year for the restaurant “l’Imaginaire”, twice rewarded by the Gault & Millau Guide: the Technique d’Excellence trophy goes to Chef Pierre Irion and the Welcome trophy to his partner, Élodie Dreher. These well-deserved distinctions crown the work of a couple, skilfully orchestrated, leading a top-of-the-range and delicate cuisine. Fresh market and local products are available with the seasons, as are the accommodating wines. This winter, game products, foie gras, and the historic Lièvre à la Royale are back on the menu.
