A masterful meal at the Atelier du Peintre in Colmar

The Painter’s Studio is established in one of the first houses that belonged to the German painter and engraver of the late Middle Ages, Martin Schongauer.

Located in a fifteenth century house in the heart of the historic city center of Colmar, this place has found a master conversion. The freshly renovated house now welcomes gourmets.

The gastronomic restaurant, l’Atelier du Peintre, awarded one star in the Michelin guide, has set itself the task of making people discover starred gastronomy in a different way.

Starred restaurant in the heart of Colmar

Like a city like Colmar which lives, moves, which is the entry point and meeting point for an entire local and international population. A real crossroads in the heart of Alsace. The star-studded establishment in Colmar relies on exceptional proximity that is greatly appreciated by its customers. Here, young and old are welcome. The house even opens its “chef’s table” for reservations, a table set up in the restaurant’s kitchens and which offers total immersion in the world of chef Loïc Lefèbvre and his team. A unique experience

The starred cuisine of Loïc Lefebvre, our favorites

The Michelin-starred restaurant in Colmar relies on carefully crafted seasonal cuisine . In the kitchens of chef Loïc Lefebvre, we recommend “working around the seafood platter”. A light and ready-to-eat dish, enhanced by the amazing flavors of black tea, grapefruit and guacamole. In agreement, treat yourself without breaking the bank, with an exceptional champagne by the glass, such as a Dom Pérignon or a Laurent Perrier Grand Siècle.

Among the chef’s latest winter creations: Langoustine carpaccio, yuzu, fresh cream & bisque candy, accompanied by a Riesling Grand Cru Rangen Clos Ste Théobald, Domaine Schoffit, on the advice of sommelier Godefroy Duchat. And the roasted back of venison, white radish tatin with Timut pepper, quince confit and blackcurrant mustard, enhanced by a Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Porets Saint-Georges, Domaine Chanson.

A final word on the wine list, which has grown over the years. Take advantage in particular of the possibility of tasting exceptional champagnes served by the glass, for a festive moment accessible to all budgets.
