The Pierre Weber estate proposes natural wines, clean for the vine and for the human being.

Pierre Weber, an environmental engineer, dreams of saving the planet. At the time, he was in charge of the Paris Climate and Energy Plan, and from his office, he took the measure of a world scale that was much too big for him. That’s why he prefers to touch it with his finger, leaving with his van to travel the Silk Road for 7 months. In 2018, he returned to Alsace at harvest time and became aware of his role to play in this land that has cradled him.

Pierre takes over the vineyards of his grandfather, in Husseren-les-Châteaux. In March 2020, he owns 4 ha including 1 ha of Grand Cru Eichberg. At the end of August, the death of his father occurred during the production of his first vintage. A tribute vintage full of emotion, named “Blanc”, which opens the doors to success. Today, the young domain remains faithful to its convictions to offer natural wines, clean for the vine and for the human being, and with captivating color codes.

Natural wines at the Pierre Weber estate

The so-called “natural” wines are wines from organic farming that the winemaker will preserve from any addition of inputs during the winemaking process. No sugar, no stabilizers, no yeast. In order not to have to add anything, only healthy grapes are kept thanks to a manual and meticulous selection during the harvest. Quality then takes precedence over quantity. At Domaine Pierre Weber, the objective is to intervene as little as possible during the vinification process so that the wine expresses the aromas of the grapes as accurately as possible.
