Un sommet \u00e0 l'ambiance r\u00e9solument montagnarde, sans les contraintes des grandes altitudes.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>\r\n\r\n&nbsp;\r\n\r\n<b>Un nom aux origines myst\u00e9rieuses<\/b>\r\n\r\nSon nom fait l'objet de nombreuses hypoth\u00e8ses qui alimentent encore les conversations locales. Il pourrait venir de \"Vehfeld\", le champ du b\u00e9tail, d'une d\u00e9formation du nom de champ des f\u00e9es \u00e0 cause des tourbi\u00e8res qui couvrent ce sommet d\u00e9nud\u00e9, ou encore du champ du fa\u00eete d\u00e9signant simplement le sommet. D'autres y voient la trace d'anciens feux de signalisation ou de rites li\u00e9s au solstice d'\u00e9t\u00e9.
